What is Origin Protocol?
Origin Protocol is a decentralized finance (DeFi) platform built on Ethereum, focusing on creating decentralized marketplaces and improving economic accessibility. The platform offers a suite of products designed to be interoperable and permissionless, enhancing integration with other DeFi initiatives. Key components of Origin Protocol include Origin Dollar (OUSD), Origin Ether (OETH), and the OGN Token.
Origin Dollar (OUSD) is a stablecoin that generates yield automatically without the need for users to stake or lock their funds in liquidity pools. OUSD rebalances funds across lending protocols like Aave, Compound, and Curve to maximize returns while remaining fully backed by other stablecoins.
Origin Ether (OETH) is a liquid staking token for Ethereum that allows users to earn staking rewards while maintaining liquidity. OETH can be staked to earn yield and is pegged 1:1 with ETH.
OGN Token is the native cryptocurrency used for governance and value accrual within the Origin ecosystem. OGN holders can stake their tokens to participate in governance decisions and earn a share of the protocol’s revenue.
