What is Aragon?
Aragon is a decentralized platform built on the Ethereum blockchain that facilitates the creation and management of decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs). Founded in 2016 by Luis Cuende and Jorge Izquierdo, Aragon aims to empower users to create and manage decentralized organizations without the need for intermediaries.
The Aragon Network allows developers to create DAOs using AragonOS, a smart contract framework that provides essential features such as finance management, token issuance, and voting systems. These modules enable organizations to handle their finances, manage memberships, and make collective decisions transparently and securely. Additionally, the platform includes the Agent app, which allows DAOs to interact directly with other Ethereum smart contracts.
