What is Volmex?
Volmex is a decentralized finance (DeFi) platform specializing in crypto volatility products. It offers the first Bitcoin and Ethereum volatility indices, BVIV (Bitcoin Volmex Implied Volatility) and EVIV (Ethereum Volmex Implied Volatility). These indices measure the 30-day implied volatility of Bitcoin and Ethereum, serving as essential tools for hedging, speculation, and as market indicators.
Volmex facilitates the trading of these volatility indices through perpetual futures contracts, currently available on the centralized exchange Bitfinex. The protocol is also available on testnets for Arbitrum and Base, providing a testing ground for decentralized perpetual futures trading.
